Houston Chronicle features Ching’s efforts to play in the 2010 World Cup
The Houston Chronicle’s Jose de Jesus Ortiz wrote a feature today about Brian Ching’s effort to land a spot on the USA’s 2010 World Cup team. Ching, who has played in 43 matches for the US National Team, was on the USA’s 2006 World Cup squad in Germany. Today Ching, and his Dynamo teammates Brad Davis and Geoff Cameron, began a training camp in California with the USA National Team in preparation for a Feb. 24 match vs. El Salvador in Tampa.
The World Cup will be played in South Africa from June 11-July 11, 2010. The USA’s first match is against England on June 12.
