Dynamo fight back to tie Colorado 2-2
The Houston Dynamo ended a three-game MLS losing streak with a come-from-behind 2-2 draw with Colorado tonight.
Danny Cruz opened the scoring for the Dynamo with his second goal of the season in the 17th minute. A defensive mistake allowed Colorado’s Conor Casey to tie the match just seconds before halftime. The Rapids later took the lead after an own goal. With 10 minutes to play, Houston’s Joseph Ngwenya, who was making his first MLS start of the season, scored to knot the match.
Brian Ching played the entire match and had an assist on the Dynamo’s tying goal.
With the tie, the Dynamo’s record moves to 5-7-2. Houston returns to action on Tuesday, June 29, when it hosts Miami FC, a USL1 team, in the third round of the U.S. Open Cup.
