Dynamo beats Puebla 1-0, wins group in Superliga
Dominic Odura scored the game’s only goal just minutes after entering the match as a second half substitute giving the Houston Dynamo a 1-0 win over Puebla. With the result, the Dynamo won their group and will advance to the semi-finals of the Superliga competition where teams from the MLS and Mexican First Division face off.
The Dynamo’s next Superliga match will during the first week of August versus Mexican team Morelia.
Brian Ching entered the match in the second half and played the final 21 minutes. His best scoring chance was a header that bounced off of the crossbar in the 77th minute.
Houston returns to MLS play for the first time in two weeks when it travels to Columbus to play the Crew this Saturday.
