Brian, I want to commend you on your response after the World Cup. You are a “true champion.” You could have kind of mailed it in after the World Cup and just decided to ride your career into the sun set. You decided to “fight” even harder. You came in the second half and scored in the All Star game and you played on Saturday and put the team on your back. The fire and desire to score was like the first game I saw you against Colorado (the service also helps). Your hat trick and bicycle kick were incredible but the best thing I saw you did for the team is “fight for your teammates.” You saw Freddie Ljundberg commit a very late ugly foul against Danny Cruz and you went right after him. You received a yellow card but you fought for your teammates. I don’t know if you guys will make the playoffs this year but if each member fought like you did on Saturday, it will be very hard to deny the Dynamo. Good luck the rest of the way. The ride should be fun.
You were just named MLS player of the week. Congrats!
