Today a FIFA delegation will tour Houston to see about Reliant Stadium serving as a venue for either the 2018 of 2022 World Cup should the USA be chosen as the host  country. When the delegation arrives, they will be greeted by Brian Ching and NBA All-Star Yao Ming.

“First and foremost, the facilities in Houston speak for themselves,” said Ching, who was on the U.S. national team at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. “I’ve been around the country and played in a lot of different venues. Reliant is probably one of the top stadiums I’ve been to or played at. It would be a shame if we were able to host a World Cup and not have Houston as a host city, looking at its population, the fan support here and the facilities that we have.”
