A day before he’ll fly out to Montreal, Brian Ching took time out to thank his legions of fans. He may not know when, but he vows to ultimately retire in Dynamo orange.

“Eventually when it’s all said and done, I’d like to retire in Dynamo colors, be it in a trade tomorrow or be it in a trade when the year is done,” said Ching, the Dynamo’s all-time leading scorer. “I would love nothing more than to retire in the city that I’ve given my heart and soul for.”

Before finishing his interview, Ching went out of his way to make one more point.

“I want to thank the Dynamo fans for everything they’ve given to me over the past few years and all the well wishes that I’ve gotten and received over twitter,” he said. “It’s something that I’ll never forget and I’ll cherish. Hopefully whenever it is that I come back to Houston we’ll continue our great relationship that we have.”
